Update…5-28-09

Yesterday Denise completed the procedure to have a port installed for easier IV connections. Everything went as planned without complication. Denise was up and out of the hospital an hour earlier than the nurses had predicted. Still strong and holding the line.

While in for the port surgery 750cc's of fluid was extracted. The drain option I mentioned last blog was not an option this go round, due to insurance policies. Once the procedure has been performed 3x (one more) then there is justification to install the permanent version.

Today Denise will received her IPT treatment and follow up complimentary therapies. Denise is excited about IPT days because she gets a sweet dessert following.

I have to be brief today as Denise has an early appointment for lymphatic massage. I am glad these type of therapies are performed in conjunction with the other quasi mainstream therapies that she receives here..... it seems a good balance to us.

Many thanks for the tremendous support and energy being generated on the home front.
