Today Denise received her 3rd IPT (hybrid Chemo treatment), she rested for an hour, ate sweets, drank fresh squeezed apple juice then rode a stationary bike with an impressive oxygen assist system. All participants in the program here are required to exercise, even if it's just to walk out to the parking lot and back.
Upon leaving we were able to visit a home in Gilbert as another possibility for lodging. The most important factor in the whole home search is that there is enough room for the girls when they come out to visit. Okay....a washer and dryer is crucial too.
Tomorrow Denise will make her final appearance at the hospital for her third paracentesis procedure. That is the one where that tenacious abdominal fluid is carefully extracted. This is to be the last of the required quota before the surgeon can insert the personal draining tube.
Today I was able to crack a private smile as the physical therapist advised Denise that she had taken the longest turn on the bike to date. She pedaled at an interminably impressive clip for over 35 minutes. What else can be said... the girl's still got it!
